From the award-winning musical Main-Travelled Roads, this is one of the most touching and meaningful songs in the MTW catalog. Will Hannan, the former suitor of Aggie Dingman, left town years ago on an angry impulse. Now, he is returning home and rediscovering his childhood haunts- and he also hopes to make amends with Aggie.

Play Along

Also from the Award-winning musical Main-Travelled Roads, play along is a great crowd pleaser. If possible, it is fun to call up a young woman from the audience and just have her sit and pretend to be playing the piano. Without that, you can introduce it by saying that your character is sitting next to a girl at her piano lesson and he just might make her a little nervous.
