Leah Okimoto

Leah Okimoto (Music), wrote the children’s musical, JUST SO, with bookwriter/lyricist Dave Hudson in 2003 and it has since been produced several times by The Actors Garden in Chicago, IL.

She has also written three musical comedies: MARRIED ALIVE! (www.marriedalive.net), A DOG’S LIFE (www.adogslifethemusical.net) and ANOTHER NIGHT BEFORE CHRISTMAS (www.anothernightbeforechristmas.com) with bookwriter/lyricist, Sean Grennan. All three premiered at the American Heartland Theatre in Kansas City, MO and have seen over 50 productions in the US and Canada, including at the Marriott Lincolnshire Theatre, Chanhassen Dinner Theatres, Barter Theatre, and Actors Playhouse.

In 2014, Leah founded Aaron’s Presents (www.aaronspresents.org), a youth development organization that inspires kids to make a positive impact on others.

She currently lives on the campus of Phillips Academy in Andover, MA with her husband and two daughters.
