Mark Sutton-Smith

Mark Sutton-Smith, the composer for two of our shows Becky Thatcher and Off to Olympus was a composer of phenomenal talents.  Equally at home with classical music, rock, or musicals, he worked effortlessly in whatever style he chose.  

Mark also worked with Kleban-Award-Winning writer Alan Gordon and the two of them wrote two shows The Usual, and Girl Detective.  His Musical Stand by the River about the underground railroad, written with his wife, Joanne, was a selection for the Stages Festival of New Musicals.

The world of music and musicals suffered a great loss in 2013 when Mark died much too young after a brave battle with cancer.  We are proud to be sharing two of his shows with the world here at Marengo Publishing.
